Rare circa 1978 Heuer Champion “Monnin” Chronograph 1614 in a 38mm tonneau case, powered by the “G. Monnin France” hallmarked Valjoux 7765 hand-wound movement. This Heuer was serviced in January 2026 and is ready to wear or to be added to a collection.

The crystal is clear and free of scratches or edge-chips. The original fume dial and orange hands are beautiful with no stains or discoloration. The roulette (Red/Black) date-wheel is also clean, with bright colors. Overall the case is in good condition with directionally brushed lines and light spider-lines consistent with age. The caseback is hallmarked, serial numbered, and reference numbered correctly, also with marks consistent with age.
This Heuer is paired with a new, unworn black Dassari sailcloth strap with stainless steel buckle.
Known as the French Heuer, the case was manufactured by Monnin and cosigned Heuer-Leonidas/ G. Monnin. This particular example has a dual signed dial Heuer / Champion as a very limited quantity were made for Champion spark plugs to be gifted within distribution and sales for high performers. Reference 1614 features a Valjoux 7765 manual winding movement with quick set date. The dial shows Made in France at 6pm.
