Nivada Grenchen Chronometer Aviator Sea Diver 1832M 8222

$2,750.00
Offered here is the bold and unmistakably 1970s Omega Speedmaster Mark III 176.002, featuring a black dial and fitted to its original 1162/172 stainless steel bracelet. This reference showcases the dramatic “volcano” style case, characterized by its angular architecture and raised inner bezel profile. The sculpted stainless steel case gives the watch substantial wrist presence while remaining balanced and wearable — a true product of Omega’s forward-thinking design era. The crystal is clear and free of scratches or edge-chips. The original dial and hands show a light patina consistent with age, with a beautiful patina to the lume paint. The case shows wear consistent with its 50-year age.  The black dial offers strong contrast and excellent legibility, with the distinctive central chronograph seconds and central chronograph minute display — a signature feature of the celebrated Omega Caliber 1040. This early automatic chronograph caliber represents a pivotal technical milestone for Omega, incorporating a 24-hour indicator and date function while delivering reliable, robust performance. This original 1040 retains the serial-numbered automatic rotor.
