Description

Bulova Lunar Pilot Meteorite Dial 96A312 Limited Edition #3364/5000. This Bulova includes: outer box, inner case, booklet, certificate of authenticity, and open warranty card.

On August 2, 1971, Bulova made space history: during the Apollo 15 moon landing, one of the astronauts wore the first Lunar Pilot. The new special edition has a unique dial made of meteorite rock and is limited to 5,000 pieces.

The Lunar Pilot Chronograph features a 43.5 mm sandblasted silver-colored grade 5 titanium case with polished accents. Beneath the flat sapphire crystal, the six-hand chronograph dial is carefully crafted from genuine Muonionalusta meteorite. This 4.5 billion year old meteorite was discovered in northern Scandinavia in 1906 and its varied crystal pattern makes each dial unique. The Lunar Pilot is powered by Bulova’s proprietary high-precision quartz movement, which oscillates at a frequency of 262 kHz for unparalleled accuracy and features a sweeping chronograph hand. The watch is fitted with a matching black leather strap that features an easy-release system for quick changes. This edition is limited to 5,000 pieces.
