Description
Vintage 1977 Seiko Bullhead 6138-0040 in a 44m stainless steel case, featuring the Seiko 6138 automatic chronograph movement. This Bullhead has been tested in good working order with the chronograph functioning as designed and resetting to “0.”
The crystal is clear and free of scratches, mars, or edge-chips. The original brown dial is beautiful, with a light patina, but no stains or edge-wear. The gold sub-dial cutouts show light speckling consistent with age. The original tachymeter bezel shows light wear and marks, but the script is clear and clean.
Overall the case is in wonderful condition with light marks consistent with age, but no deep dents or gouges.
Includes the original Z040S “Fish Bone” bracelet marked “Japan Z.” The bracelet will currently fit an 8.5 inch wrist with four (4) removable links installed.
