The Vacheron Constantin reference 7397 is a distinctive vintage model produced during the transition from the late 1960s into the 1970s. Stainless-steel Vacheron Constantin watches from this period were produced in relatively limited numbers, making examples like this especially appealing to collectors today.

The watch features a tonneau-shaped case with a broad bezel and radial satin finishing, giving it a strong wrist presence without losing the restrained elegance associated with Vacheron Constantin. Inside is the automatic caliber K1072/1, complete with a date complication.

The case design shares some visual similarities with the much more dramatic Vacheron Constantin “Batman” models, though the reference 7397 offers a more traditional and wearable interpretation. It blends the clean refinement of the 1960s with the increasingly bold case designs that began appearing throughout the 1970s.
