Description
Beautiful c. 1953 Universal Geneve Uni-Compax chronograph in a 35mm steel case, featuring the 17-jewel Universal Cal. 285 hand-wound movement. This UG has been tested in excellent working condition: running, winding, setting, and chronograph resets to “0.”
The crystal is clear and free of scratches or mars. The dial has the perfect amount of patina, with light uniform speckling, and a few light lines. The case appears to have the original directionally-brushed finishes with light marks, but no deep dents or dings.
The caseback interior shows 2 (maybe 3) distinct service marks.
This watch includes a new Horween chromexcel leather strap with case-matching silver buckle.
