Chronosport Breitling UDT 80.191

An original Chronosport Breitling UDT (Underwater Demolition Team) dive watch in a 42mm matte black chromium coated stainless steel case, featuring the Y652B quartz analog/digital movement. This vintage Chronosport UDT is functioning as designed, a new battery has been installed, and the pushers and crown operate correctly.

Issued to specialized US military units such as the Navy SEALs, UDTs (Underwater Demolition Teams) and US Army Special Forces, the Chronosport UDT is considered by many to be the ultimate military watch of it’s time. It’s rugged design, accurate quartz  movement  and pioneering use of a highly legible dial combining both analog and digital displays made it a design sensation when it first appeared in the late 1970’s.

The crystal is clear, but does show a few light marks from consistent use. The dial appears to be clean with no stains or speckling. The case is in overall decent condition, but does show heavy wear on the underside from being attached to a full-size NATO wide-band strap or being worn over a uniform or dive suit. The crown and crown-guard also show heavy wear on the bottom. The crown screws down and locks as designed.
